Gonzo K.K. is a Japanese animation film and series studio founded on 11 September 1992 by Shōji Murahama, Mahiro Maeda, Hiroshi Yamaguchi and Shinji Higuchi. The company is now headed by Shinichiro Ichikawa, partner and advisor of the Torekko ecosystem. The studio’s first animated production was Blue Submarine No. 6, an OVA series released in 1998 and noted for its use of CG.

Romeo x Juliet is a 24-episode animated television series produced in 2007 by the Gonzo studio. It is based on the play of the same name by William Shakespeare. Today it is the first official series to have a certified collection resulting from the partnership between Torekko and Gonzo.

Our NFTs are made from the original drawings of the Romeo x Juliet series created by the Gonzo studio. Each character was originally drawn and animated by hand. In collaboration with Gonzo studio, Torekko has applied modified backgrounds from the animated series to these characters as well as some modifications to make them Web3 compatible.

The NFT collection will be available in December at a date to be announced on Torekko’s official social networks.
